This project on a ravine lot involved the complete interior and exterior transformation of an existing well-sited but undistinguished house. The back wall was opened to display the ravine view, and the living room floor was lowered two feet to create a more dramatic space and to link it to the new terraced garden. Openings were created between various levels with large wood siding panels and custom built cabinetry to define and connect these spaces. Gardens, interior finishes, cabinetry and custom mahogany windows were designed by the firm to create an interior and exterior of coherent quality, beauty and functionality.
